The Alsace Wine Route

The Alsace Wine Route is what every Wino’s dreams are made of. Along with some friends, we took a private tour of the Alsace Wine Route. Complete with two wine tastings and a visit to an ancient French/German Castle.

We got headed to our first wine tasting which offered a tour of their wine barrels. Down in a cellar lining the walls were massive barrels with little wooden carvings. Our guide told us the history of the vineyard and I snapped away…

Following our wine tour and tasting we drove farther south along the wine route. We saw little villages with 300 people and 30 vineyards. Finally, we stopped at a little town for some French lunch.

Following lunch we continued on the wine route, up a hill, and found ourselves in an ancient French/German castle.

We drove down the hill and visited another winery. At the winery we enjoyed some wine and went home.
