Maui 2016 - Day 7

Our last full day in Maui we had one thing left to cross off our Maui bucket list. We wanted to drive to the top of the Haleakala Mountain. We woke up at 6:00AM and packed the car with plenty of snacks and warm clothes, then headed toward the peak. Due to the weather system in Hawaii we decided to leave early before the clouds took over the mountain which seemed to happen daily around 11:00AM. The drive to the top was gorgeous and we quickly were able to gain altitude. M and I took advantage of the stops along the way and I quickly huddled up due to the cold weather.

We drove down the mountain and headed back to our condo to get ready for a beach day, a perfect way to end our time in Hawaii. We drove to the west side of the island and laid out for a couple hours. We snorkeled and enjoyed some lunch then went to another beach for a few hours. We changed then went to Bubba Gumps right on the beach and watched the sunset while enjoying some shrimp.
